The patients' main complaint is her uneven smile.
While discussing the issue, she mentioned she wanted a gingivectomy on teeth 12 and 11, elongate front teeth to follow the length of 23 and 22, and add tooth 25 buccally and incisal.
Our treatment plan suggested ortho treatment to avoid gingivectomy and veneers. The patient went through the ortho treatment couple of years ago, so she decided against it.
We both agreed that the best idea would be to restore tooth 25, and avoid any unnecessary treatment such as gingivectomy and veneers.
Sometimes doing less can be more, such as in this case. The patient left the office satisfied without any major over-treatment done. Follow our other case reports for more ideas.
